AC/DC fans warned to leave sign alone

Extra security measures are planned to prevent dirty deeds in the Melbourne city lane recently named after Oz hard rock legends AC/DC.

Melbourne City staff are taking measures to stop fans souveniring the new signs.

Lord Mayor John So will install the signs today at what was Corporation Lane in the block between Exhibition and Russell Streets, Melbourne, Australia.

Councillor Kimberley Kitching hoped fans would leave the signs alone. "They'll be well secured so don't even bother trying to take them." she said.

"Also, some of the bars in the lane are strong supporters of the remaining and they will be working with us to make sure the signs stay there"
