Tony Iommi new solo album with Glenn Hughes on vocals again.

Tony Iommi is said to be making great progress with his new album which features Glenn Hughes on vocals and Kenny Aronoff on drums. They’ve cut 13 tracks, all produced by Bob Marlette, who worked on Tony's first solo album in 2000 and the Sabbath "Reunion" album in 1998.

Compared to the songs on the recently released "The DEP Sessions", the new material is "more riff-oriented," Iommi told Rolling Stone. He also promised that, like its impromptu predecessor, the songs would "come together very, very quick."

The album is now at the mixing stage and discussions are taking place regarding the release date, which will be later this year. Tony is also hoping to be able to take this album out live.

Kasim Sulton joins Scandal

Kasim Sulton will be playing bass and singing background vocals on the Patty Smyth and Scandal Tour of the US. Scandal were popular in the 80s and got together again for a taping of Bands Reunited for VH-1 in August 2004. As their bass player Ivan Aliase passed away about 15 years ago, the band who all know Kasim, asked him to play bass on the show and he was the obvious choice when they decided to tour again for the first time in 20 years.

Alannah Myles & Kee Marcello Duet.

WORDS FROM ALANNAH
2005 plans to be a "fasten your seatbelts" kind of ride for me. I have accepted an offer to perform in the highly prestigious and multi-million viewing TV audience akin to North America's 'American Idol Contest' in Stockholm, Sweden. It is their #1 hit TV series which occurs only once a year. It is guaranteed a TV viewing audience of 20 million and an extended European audience of 500 million viewers!!! Singers such as Celine Dionne and Abba have performed in it resulting in excess of 100 million CD sales. I will be performing a duet with a local Swede named Kee Marcello and I've heard with all of the ballads entered in the contest our chance to rock will be sure to stand out. This comes as a Godsend, on the spiky little heels my upcoming new CD '85bpm' to be release spring of 2005 with a fabulously contemporary rerecording of 'Black Velvet', downloadable at alannahmyles.com or 85bpm.com Eventually I'll make it to Canadian & US radio but all things take time and we've got plenty of that!
